Introduction
With the Evaluation designer, you can customize your evaluation processes, and create and edit your questionnaires.
Evaluation processes are made of different types of questionnaires. They vary according to the type of course (e-learning or Instructor-Led Training - ILT). To help you in the configuration of your evaluation processes, this article presents the types of questionnaires.
Learner initial questionnaire
The Learner initial questionnaire allows you to collect immediate feedback from learners after the end of a course. Thanks to this questionnaire, you can understand if learners were satisfied with the course content, what they liked or disliked, if they are likely to recommend the course, and more. Remember that you can edit and create questionnaires to collect the specific information you need.
This questionnaire is sent between 0 and 5 days after the end of the course. It is enabled by default in all evaluation processes and cannot be disabled.
The Learner initial questionnaire is available for e-learning and ILT courses.
Learner follow-up questionnaire
The Learner follow-up questionnaire allows you to monitor how useful the course was for learners and to measure the learning impact.
This questionnaire is sent between 15 and 180 days after the end of the course. It can be automatically customized for each learner based on the answers they have provided in the initial questionnaire if you include the action plan question in both questionnaires.
Please note! When scheduling the follow-up questionnaire, please remember the following rules:
- For e-learning courses: the time frame is calculated by considering the date the learner completes the course and the date the follow-up questionnaire is sent
- For ILT courses: the time frame is calculated by considering the session end date and the date the follow-up questionnaire is sent.
The Learner follow-up questionnaire is available for e-learning and ILT courses.
Manager follow-up questionnaire
The Manager follow-up questionnaire allows you to get feedback from the manager of the learners who completed the course. You can assess if the course had an impact on the learners’ job from the manager’s perspective.
This questionnaire is sent between 15 and 180 days after the end of the course. For more information about the Manager questionnaire, read the article Involving managers in the evaluation process.
Please note that the Learner follow-up questionnaire and the Manager follow-up questionnaire can each have their own different schedule.
The Manager follow-up questionnaire is only available for ILT courses only.
Instructor questionnaire
The Instructor questionnaire allows you to get feedback from the course instructor. The Instructor questionnaire cannot be scheduled and is sent by default two days before the end of the session at the latest.
The Instructor questionnaire is only available for ILT courses.
