Introduction
Your learning platform allows you to measure the effectiveness of learning and prove its impact. You can enable learning evaluation for a selection of courses, send evaluation questionnaires, collect responses, and check easy-to-read reports, all in an automated way.
The platform provides two reports that you can use to view data across multiple courses and sessions
Another option is to use the Session report. The Session report displays the results of a single session of an ILT or VILT course.
Accessing the Session report
To access the Session report:
- Click the Admin menu gear icon in top right corner of the platform
- In the Apps & features area, find Learning evaluation and click Manage
- Go to the Sessions tab
On the Sessions report page:
- Use the filters on the left to find sessions
- Click View sessions
- Identify the session you need in the results
- Click the three-line graph icon at the end of the row.
The session report is now available.
Notes:
- The Session report option needs to be activated during your onboarding.
- The Session report is only available for sessions having at least one respondent (for non-confidential questionnaires) or at least two respondents (for confidential questionnaires).
- Above the list of sessions, you will notice a cloud icon. It allows you to download a CSV file with session details: title, type, start and end dates, number of participants, response rate and more.
Reading the results of a single session with the Session report
The banner of a Session report displays icons that let you see the respondents's list, download the report, hide the benchmark (opens in a new tab) that is displayed by default, export raw data and more.
Let’s go through the Session report sections:
Overview
This section gives you an overview of the questionnaire results.
It may include one or more parts, depending on:
-
The evaluation properties
- The report’s status (e.g., after the initial or follow-up questionnaire)
For every section, results are displayed by default with the benchmark color code.
Please note: In reports, a manager’s scores are weighted
- If a manager has 4 team members involved in the evaluation, their answers count as 4
- If a manager has 1 team member involved in the evaluation, their answers count as 1
This only applies to linear scale questions. More information on question types.
Elements liked most/liked least
When a questionnaire includes the suggested question What did you like most/What did you like least? The results of this question will be found in this section.
Please note: If the evaluation is confidential, you will not see who gave each answer.Instead, learners will be shown as Learner 1, Learner 2, and so on.
Elements that learners expect to use
If the questionnaire includes the suggested question What elements of the course will you be able to use? The results of this question will be found in this section.
Detailed answers by question
Displays a questionnaire's detailed answers. Depending on the evaluation properties and the status of the report at the time you are reading it, you can find tabs on the right side of this section allowing you to navigate between the detailed answers for the initial questionnaire, follow-up questionnaire, trainer’s questionnaire, and manager’s questionnaire.
