DISCLAIMER: The integration with Webex V1 is no longer supported since October 31, 2020, and reached its end of life on February 1, 2021.
For those using Webex Meetings, Training, and Event Center for web training, your platform can integrate with Webex, so your users can access live training sessions directly in webinar courses in their Docebo platforms.
Docebo can integrate with Webex Meetings, Training, and Event Center. The other Cisco web conferencing tools are not currently supported. You can only activate this app if you have a Webex account, if your license includes the Admin site access and if you have agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in your contract.
The integration supports both listed and unlisted Webex Meetings and it is available for Webex SaaS and does not support on-premise deployments.

Please Note: Due to the removal of the service in Webex, Webex Events can no longer be scheduled for on or after April 1, 2023. Please schedule Webinars only after this date.
Activating the Webex V2 App in Docebo
Activate the Webex V2 app as described in the Managing Apps & Features article of the Knowledge Base. The app is listed in the Web Conferencing tab.
Configuring Webex V2 in Docebo
To set up the integration in your platform, access the Admin Menu. Then find the Webex V2 section and select the Manage subitem. The Webex V2 page shows all the accounts already configured with Webex V2. In order to configure a new account, press the New Account button in the top right corner.
In the right panel type your account name and description and the Webex ID and password (the credentials you use to log in to Webex). Enter now your Site Name, Site ID, and Partner ID details in the corresponding fields. In order to retrieve these details, log in to the Webex Control Hub, and click on Meetings in the left panel. In the following window click on the meeting site in the table. Then, in the right slide-out panel, click on the Configure Site button at the bottom. On the following page click on Site Information under the Common Settings section. Site ID is listed in the first section.
Optionally, define the Webex template you want to use for your platform webinar sessions and whether you want to host listed or unlisted webinars in your platform. Please note that, by default, the Site Admin Option is set to Listed.
Finally, add the maximum number of sessions per course, total sessions and concurrent rooms into the corresponding text boxes. Please note that the number of concurrent rooms is the one agreed on in your Webex license.
Press Create when you’re finished. Once you have activated the app, you can create webinar events for VILT courses.
Please note that for webinars using this integration and created after January 10, 2020, you have to activate the password functionality, or Webex will automatically generate it for you. Refer to this article of the Webex Help Center for further information on passwords for webinars.
Managing Your Webex V2 Accounts
At any time, you can edit the details of your Webex accounts by accessing the Webex V2 page and hovering your mouse over the menu icon at the end of the account row and finally selecting the Edit option. From the same menu, select Delete to cancel the account.
Notes for Instructors
- Make sure that the learners attending the webinar have their First Name and a valid email address associated to their user profile in Docebo, or they will not be able to access the webinar
- If you are using Webex Events, and you are the instructor in charge of starting the webinar, remember you have to log in to your Webex account and start the session manually from there, so that learners can attend the training.
Docebo for Webex Updated Version
Please Note: This chapter refers to features that will become available after April 12, 2023. For more information please refer to the community post (link opens in a new window) explaining the upcoming changes to the Docebo for Webex Integration.
As of April 12, 2023, a second Manage link, labeled with (Updated) can be found in Docebo for Webex Version 2. This is the updated version and interface for Webex, and you will find your old accounts created in this page. This solution is an interim release addressing the replacement of Event sessions with Webinar sessions in Webex.
The updated management page supports the following session types:
- This is the new session type that replaces the disused Event session type
- This is the new interface that replaces the old Meeting session type with the new Webinar session type
The current Manage link in the Admin Page will be renamed Manage (Classic). There will be no changes to the behavior of this page and training can still be configured in this section. The new Manage link will be labeled Manage (Updated) and will allow you to create and delete the new Meeting and Webinar session types only.
The Manage (Updated) section allows you to pair accounts easily, to do so make sure you are logged into the Webex account you wish to pair and access the Manage (Updated) section. Then, create an account with the name and description, adding other options as needed and click on the Create button.
You will not be able to manage accounts from the Manage (Updated) link.
How to use Webex and Docebo during this transition period
If you need to create a Webinar account before the release of the updated integration, you can create the meeting in Webex first, then create a corresponding event in Docebo Learn, using Custom Tool as the Video Conference Tool and paste the Webex event URL into the accompanying URL text field.
The user experience for your learner will not change as a result of this interim solution.
- Docebo does not support Webex accounts in federated mode with SSO. If you have configured the SSO authentication in your Webex page when you try to create a Webex session, you might receive an error: “An error was returned from the API: ‘Incorrect user or password'.
- Webex Events (New) are not supported by our integration.
