You’ll then be redirected to the main page of the Docebo Content library.
Exploring Content in the Library
The Docebo Content library includes more than 80,000 pieces of content, all available for you to preview and to import if you have purchased a content plan. To browse content, drilling it down to what interests you the most, either search for one or more keywords in the search bar or click on All Taxonomy to select one of the available categories used to classify content. Every category includes two levels of subcategories. Click on the option that suits you the most to access the library content already filtered according to your selection, or click on Explore All Docebo Content to view all of the available content.
If you have purchased a curated content plan, you can filter content based on your plan. On the Docebo Content Library homepage, find the Docebo Curated Selection section and click on Explore Selection. This section displays the content you have selected with your Content Specialist, and the counter shows how many pieces of content you have imported in your platform. Refer to the next chapters to learn more on how to purchase a plan and on the available plan types.
Scroll down the Docebo Content Library homepage to take advantage of other options to filter content:
- Explore Categories. Select one of the available options to drill down content according to the library taxonomy.
- Explore Optimized Content. Use these preset filtering options to filter content that is suitable for all, mobile responsive (content with a layout that adapts to screen size and orientation), or accessible.

- Most Popular Courses. Have an overview of the most viewed content. The content filtered with this option changes dynamically on the basis of the most frequently viewed courses.
- Newest Courses. This area displays the library’s most recent content.
All of the content displayed in the search results page is available for you to see in Preview mode, while the content included in your plan is fully visible and can be imported in the platform.
While on the search results page, click the Filter item in the action bar at the top of the library to filter content according to one of the available options:

Purchasing Content Plans
The Docebo Content library has more than 80,000 pieces of content available for purchase, all of which are ready to be played on both desktop and mobile devices. To import content, follow the process described in the next sections.
While browsing the library, if you see a piece of content that could be valuable for your learners, but it is not available in your plan, click on Upgrade Your Plan on top of the page.
A slide-out panel for your platform’s Help Center will appear on the right side of the page. Insert your message into the corresponding field, then press Send Now. Once you purchase a plan, you will be put in touch with a Docebo Content Specialist, who will help you select the content that fit your use case the best, proposing you a plan tailored to your needs. The content included in the plan will be made available in your Docebo Content library with the Import button in the content’s tile, meaning the content is ready to be imported into your platform.
You can upgrade your plan at any time by clicking Upgrade Your Plan in the Docebo Content library banner. You can keep track of Docebo Content usage in the Usage Dashboard.
Importing a Single Piece of Content into the Platform as a Course
Once content from the Docebo Content library is available in your purchased plan, you then need to import it. In your platform, you can import this content either as an individual course in the Course Management area of your platform or as training material in the Central Repository. Please note that when selecting to import the content as a course, it will also be saved as training material in the Central Repository.
In order to import content as training material in the Central Repository, also creating a course out of it, press the Import button in the content’s tile. In the right panel that opens, select the option to import as training material in the Central Repository and create courses.
Press Next at the bottom of the slideout panel. In the Folder tab, you can optionally select into which folder of the Central Repository you want to place the content. Press Next to proceed.
In the Category tab, you can optionally select into which course management category you want to place the created course. Press Next to proceed.
In the Catalogs tab, you can optionally include the course into any course catalogs that you’ve created in your platform.
Remember: Even if you place the course within a catalog, you cannot resell the course. By placing the course in a catalog, users will be able to directly enroll into it, but they cannot purchase it.
If you do not want to include the course in any catalogs, press Next to proceed. Finally, in the Enrollments tab, you have the possibility of directly enrolling users into the course. You can enroll individual users, branches, or user groups in your platform.
Then, press Import. A message at the bottom of the page will inform you that a background job has been created successfully. When you launch the import, the process will run in the background with a background job, so you can continue to use your platform and your PC without any restrictions during the import process. You’ll be notified when the background job is completed.

Mass Importing Content from Docebo Content’s Library
Additionally, you can import multiple pieces of content from Docebo Content into the platform in a single action. Once you have filtered content according to your needs, click on the cards of the content you wish to import in order to select them and click Import Courses in the bottom right corner of the page. Use the Unselect All button to unselect all of the content you have selected.
Then, select whether to import them as training material in your Central Repository or as platform courses. Refer to the sections above in this article for more information about each import type.
The massive import will be managed as a background job, with the import time depending on the amount of content you’re importing. Please note that each piece of content that you import from the Docebo Content library becomes an individual course in the platform (if you selected to import them as courses), so if you import five pieces of content as courses, you will create five courses in the platform.
Managing Docebo Content Library Content in Your Platform
When Docebo Content library content is imported as SCORM training material in your Central Repository, it can be managed like any regular SCORM training material, with the same advanced settings options.
When editing the title of the content you imported from Docebo Content, remember that the new title will be assigned to the training material within the course, if you want to edit the course name, you can do so from the Course Management area. The new title will be used in the platform instead of the original content title for all purposes, including the search functionality, thus causing a mismatch between the course title in the platform and the one displayed in the Docebo Content catalog.
Once you find the training material from Docebo Content in the list of training materials in the Central Repository, press the edit icon in the object’s row to edit the details of the training material, as desired.
Notes on Docebo Content Training Material
- Some SCORM files imported from Docebo Content as training materials may not be displayed as completed in the platform right after the actual completion by learners. This can occur when the provider of the service is not able to send the completion message during the time of the learning session. The retry mechanism can take from a few seconds to a few minutes and will continue if the browser is closed meanwhile. In the Learner Guide, users are advised to wait and contact their Administrator if the problem persists.
- Coursera content provider offers customers with Premium plans 3,200+ Guided Projects. These are hands-on projects that help learners build job-relevant skills, and they will be tagged in our Premium Library as Link type content. Training material from Coursera will require learners to agree to Coursera’s terms and conditions the first time they access it, as third-party cookies must be allowed by the browser in order for the training material to be tracked. The completion of these training materials may take up to 24 hours.
Managing the Docebo Content Catalog in Docebo Learn
When you purchase a plan, the content included is automatically added to your platform’s course catalog collection, in a catalog named Docebo Content, provided that you have at least once accessed the Docebo Content library. Superadmins cannot activate, deactivate, edit or remove this catalog in any way. They can only set its visibility to end-users.
In order to manage the catalog’s visibility to users, you must assign users to view the catalog, then users can enroll in courses by themselves. The catalog visibility depends on which users are assigned to it. In order to prevent users from seeing the catalog, do not assign them to the catalog.
Remember that a Docebo Content course is listed in the Course Management area of the Admin Menu only if at least one user has enrolled into it from the catalog, or if the Superadmin imported it from Docebo Content.
Managing Content Planned for Decommissioning
The content available in Docebo Content may be decommissioned (because it is out of date, for example), and you have the possibility to replace it with a newer version, or a different piece of content, on the basis of the plan you have purchased. Keep this in mind when associating courses containing training material from Docebo Content with certifications.
90 days before the content decommissioning date, you will receive a notification in the notification center informing you that the decommissioning date is approaching. This notification will provide you enough time to find an equivalent (or different!) content and enroll your learners in the corresponding course.
The notification will be sent only if the Decommissioned Courses notification has been configured and activated in your platform.
After the notification, if you have a Premium plan, you can proceed to choose and import the content of your choice to replace the content planned for decommissioning.
If you have purchased a Docebo Content 50 or 150 plan, at any time, after the notification, you contact us through the Help Center to renegotiate your decommissioned content.
When content is about to be decommissioned, a warning icon is displayed on top of the content card in the Docebo Content library, and the tooltip shows the number of days left before decommissioning. In addition, a warning message on top of the page will guide you to the list of the content you need to check.
When content is decommissioned, it is no longer visible to learners, and no longer accessible by Superadmins, but it is not automatically removed from the platform, in order not to lose the users’ tracking. If you have imported the content as a course, remove it directly from the Course Management page. If you have imported the content as training material, you can either remove it from every course it is assigned to, or remove it from all of the courses in one action from the Central Repository. Please note that decommissioned training materials are not considered in the courses’ prerequisites configuration.
Content is always decommissioned with a background job fired at 11:00 am CET, only when at least one decommissioning communication is received within a day timeframe.
Attending a Docebo Content Course as a Learner
As a learner, you have full visibility of the Docebo Content catalog only if the platform Superadmin gave you the permissions to see it. Log in to the platform and select Course Catalog from the Main Menu. The Docebo Content Catalog is listed among the other catalogs assigned to you and includes all the courses downloaded from the Docebo Content platform.
Click the Filter item in the action bar at the top of the library to filter courses according to one of the available options. You can also sort search results using the corresponding menu on the right side of the action bar at the top or search for content using the search bar.
Click on the course card to access its dedicated page where you can learn more about the course author and language, and read a course description. Press Enroll to subscribe to the course. Confirm your enrollment by pressing Enroll in the pop-up box.
A message will confirm your subscription, and prompt you to start the course right away or to access the My Courses and Learning Plans area of the platform where the course you have just enrolled in will be listed together with the other courses assigned to you. Click on the course tile to access the course main page, then Start Learning Now to launch the training.
