Introduction
The Content Marketplace is where you find libraries of off-the-shelf courses and synchronize them into your Docebo platform. Depending on your contract, it may include Docebo Content by OpenSesame and Go1 which are content providers on a wide range of topics.
You may also have access to content brought by external content providers. On the Add-ons and Integration menu, depending on your contract, you may find:
- The LinkedIn Learning integration if you have subscribed to it. Learn more about the LinkedIn Learning integration.
- The OpenSesame connector (if you are an OpenSesame customer). Learn more about the OpenSesame connector.
The name of the external content providers cannot be customized on your platform.
Only Superadmins have access to the Content Marketplace. Power Users have no permissions to access or manage the content marketplace.
Service notice
It is strictly prohibited to resell content from Docebo Content, Go1, and from third-party providers in Docebo. You cannot include content from providers in Docebo’s Content Marketplace in your Docebo courses or learning plans that you sell via Docebo’s e-commerce feature.
- On the E-Commerce tab of a course, you cannot flag the course for sale. The platform displays the following message: You cannot sell courses containing training material from the content marketplace.
- If you add a course that contains marketplace content to a learning plan or certification available for purchase, the platform displays an error message.
- If you try to push marketplace training material from the Training materials page into a course that is for sale, the platform displays an error message and the import fails. To push it, first clear the option to sell the course in the course's e-commerce tab.
When using the content marketplace, the personal data of Docebo Learn users may be shared with our sub-processor and its sub-processors as defined in the Docebo sub-processors list (download PDF). Docebo Learn administrators are responsible to check if they are subject to any applicable regulation or privacy law that requires them to add some specific reference in the Docebo Learn privacy policy.
In order to grant content integrity, you cannot edit or replace the content of the training material coming from the content marketplace in courses and in the Training materials page, except for its title and description.
Navigating the Content Marketplace
Open the navigation menu and go to Content and delivery > Content Marketplace.
- If you are using the new Go1 experience, you will land on the Go1’s Discover content page.
- If you are using Doceb Content or the legacy Go1 experience (previously Docebo Content Classic), you will land on the Content Marketplace main page where you can click Explore library to access either the Docebo Content or the Go1’s content library.
Managing content from the marketplace in the Training materials page
When you import content from the marketplace, it becomes training material on the Training materials page. To manage it, open the navigation menu, Content and delivery (folder icon) > Training materials.
On the Training materials page, enable the Content provider column to see which content provider each item comes from. Use the Content provider filter content to organize the training materials displayed on the page.
Please note: The platform imports e-learning training material from a content provider with that provider's default settings. These settings can include the view mode. Some content plays in full screen mode by default.
Managing Content Marketplace training material in a course
After you add training material from the Content Marketplace to a course, you can manage its course-level settings on the course's Training material tab.
Open the navigation menu, Content and deliver (folder icon) > Courses. Enable the Marketplace column in the course management table to identify the courses that include content from a content provider. Then open the course and open the Training material tab. A shopping cart icon appears in the row of each item that comes from the Content Marketplace. Hover over the icon to see the provider name.
Click the menu icon in the training material row and select Settings. Update the settings and save your changes. To remove the training material from the course, select Unlink item.
Please note: When you manage the settings of expired marketplace training material in a course, the Hide and View mode options are not available.
