Introduction
The legacy Docebo Content experience will be deprecated in March 2026. After that date, only the new Docebo Content experience will be available. We recommend utilizing the new experience as soon as possible to ensure continuity and benefit from the improved features.
This article explains the actions you need to take before the deprecation of the legacy experience.
Why switch to the new experience
The new Docebo Content experience introduces a redesigned interface and a more streamlined workflow. You can import content and directly create courses from the same panel, browse and manage collections more easily, and access content information in a faster, more intuitive way. When you import content and create courses, the course title, description, thumbnail, and course code are automatically generated in the Course Management area for each new course. Migrating your lists from the legacy experience
In the legacy Docebo Content experience, lists are used to group content items. In the new Docebo Content experience, these lists correspond to collections. To keep your existing content organization, you can migrate your legacy lists into collections in the new interface.
To migrate your lists, access the legacy experience by using the Switch to previous experience button in the header and go to the My Lists tab. Open the list you want to migrate, press the gear icon in the top right corner, and select Download as CSV. This will generate a file containing all the items included in that list.
Once you have downloaded your CSV file, go to the new Docebo Content experience and open the My collections tab. Click on Import collection via CSV to select your file. The collection name is automatically generated from the CSV file name, and you can optionally edit it and/or add a description. Then, click on Import. Each migrated list will appear as a new collection, preserving the content items included in the original list. If you have migrated content that has already been imported through the legacy experience, it will appear as Imported in the new interface after the CSV upload.
Notes:
- You can only download created or received lists. You cannot download curated lists, but you will find them in the new experience as public collections.
- When importing a list as a CSV file, each file can contain up to 100 content items. If your list includes more than 100 items, split it into multiple CSV files, each containing no more than 100 items, and upload them separately if needed.
- List groups are not going to be migrated to the new experience.
Downloading your reports
The Reporting tab available in the legacy experience will not be replicated in the new interface. We recommend exporting any historical reports before the deprecation date.
To do so, access the legacy experience by using the Switch to previous experience button in the header and go to the Reporting tab. Select the desired timeframe and press the CSV button to download the report.
Most of the information available in the legacy experience — such as course enrollments, completions, and user progress — can be accessed through the platform’s standard and custom reporting tools. For future reporting, use the platform’s reporting area, where you can manage standard reports or create custom reports to monitor course and learner activity.
