Accessing Docebo Content
To access the Docebo Content library in your platform, you need to reach the content marketplace. Log into your platform as the Superadmin, access the Admin menu by pressing the gear icon in the top right corner of the page. Then, select the Content marketplace item.
Please note! Only Superadmins have access to the content marketplace. Power Users cannot access or manage the content marketplace.
On the main marketplace page, you will see all of the providers from which you can browse, purchase, and sync off-the-shelf content. The Docebo Content library is the biggest banner on the main Content marketplace page.
To explore the library content, press the Explore the library button. You’ll then be redirected to the Docebo Content library. Refer to the next chapter to learn more on browsing the library.
Exploring the Docebo Content library
In your Docebo Content library, you will find both individual content items and public collections. Public collections are groups of content items related to the same topic that are automatically populated and updated inside your library. While you can browse public collections directly in the library, you can also create custom collections to organize content according to your own criteria. For more information on custom collections, refer to the article Managing Docebo Content.
You can browse content either by entering keywords in the search bar or using the list of filters to filter content according to one of the available options:
- Topic
- Duration
- Type: public collections or content items
- Format: select the desired content format
- Rating: filter items according to user rating
- Publisher: select among Docebo Content’s training providers
- Regional relevance: filter content according to location specific aspects
- Languages: select whether you want your selection to be applied to the content text, to the subtitles and/or to the audio track, then mark the desired checkboxes or search for a specific language in the Filter languages bar
- Accreditation organization: display only content accredited by specific organizations.
- Accessibility standards: display only content that meets the requirements set by accessibility organizations
- Skills: display content that is meant to develop the selected skills
- Features: filter by specific features of the content. This filter uses “and” logic, so if you select more than one, the results will only display content items offering all the features you selected.
Only specific filters can be used in combination with the Type: Public collections filter. These include:
- Topic
- Languages
- Duration
- Format
- Rating.
When you apply filters, sorting options, or keyword searches in the library and then open a content or collection detail page, your selection is preserved. When you go back to the library page, all filters, sorting options, and searches remain applied, so your view and selection are not lost.
If you share the filtered library URL with another Superadmin, the recipient will see the library with the same filters, sorting options, and search terms already applied.
Use the drop-down menu on the right side of the page to sort items by relevance, rating, title, date of addition, or date of last update.
All of the content displayed in the search results page is available for you to preview. Refer to the next chapters to learn more about importing content in your platform.
Content and collections are displayed as tiles. Every collection tile shows its title and the number of content items it contains. A collection tile will be labeled as New if it has been created in the last 90 days. Open the collection detail page to view the content included in the collection.
Every content tile shows the content title, its publisher, the date of its last update, its duration and its language or number of available languages. A tile is labeled as New if the content has been created in the last 90 days, and as Retiring when the content is scheduled for decommissioning. Tiles of imported content are marked as Imported. Note that the date format in the last update and retiring date on content tiles is DD/MM/YYYY.
Content languages
Some content items are available in more than one language, selectable by learners while playing the corresponding training material. In this case, the number of languages is shown on the content tile, and you can click on it to view the available languages.
Other content items have language sets instead. This means that there are multiple versions of the same content, one for each language (each one counting as a separate content item). In this case, only the default language is shown on the content tile, but you will find the list of languages on the content detail page, and you can also locate them by using the language filter in the library.
Purchasing content plans
The Docebo Content library offers a wide selection of content items available for purchase, all of which are ready to be played on both desktop and mobile devices. All content is available for you to preview. To be able to import content into your platform, you need to purchase a content plan. To do so, click on Buy a plan in the Content marketplace page or on any content tile.
A slide-out panel for your platform’s Help center will appear on the right side of the page. Insert your message into the corresponding field, then press Send now. Once you purchase a plan, you will be able to request custom content collections tailored to your needs.
You can upgrade your plan at any time by clicking Upgrade your plan in the Docebo Content section of your Content marketplace. You can keep track of Docebo Content usage in the Usage dashboard.
