Introduction
A learning plan is an educational program composed of different courses that you can complete in a free or sequential order, depending on how the administrator configured it.
A learning plan may be composed of a single type of course (only e-learning or Instructor-Led Training (ILT) courses) or a mixed type of them.
Please note! When you enroll in a learning plan, you are automatically enrolled in all of the courses composing it and they will be listed on the My courses and learning plans page, unless you are allowed to purchase or enroll only in some of the courses composing it.
The learning plan page
All of the courses and learning plans in which you are enrolled are listed on the My courses and learning plans page. Learning plans are identified by the Learning plan label at the bottom of the card. Click on the learning plan card to access it.
The learning plan page shows the learning plan description and is made up of the following widgets:
Courses in the learning plan
This area lists the courses composing the learning plan, including information about the course type, the number of lessons included, the average completion time, the course language, and the number of completed lessons.
Click on the down arrow to the right of the course area to expand it to see the course description.
Learning plan progress
This area displays your progress in the learning plan, including details on completed mandatory and optional courses. If you have completed the plan, this area also shows the completion date. A message in this area will notify you when new mandatory courses are added to the learning plan.
Depending on the learning plan settings, you may have a limited time to complete it, and access may be restricted after this period. If so, a message in this area will display the relevant dates and whether access will still be allowed after the deadline. If you do not complete the learning plan within the enrollment validity period, but you can still access and complete the plan afterward, the completion date will be recorded after the enrollment expiration date.
If you have not yet started the learning plan, click on Start learning now to begin your journey. If you have started a course in the learning plan without completing it, click on the Resume training button in this area to continue the course.
As an option, click on Play or Resume in the course area to start a specific course. To rewatch a completed course, click Retake.
Refer to the corresponding articles of the Learning Guide to learn how to attend e-learning and ILT courses.
Learning plan details
Depending on the settings of the learning plan and on the settings of the courses composing it, the Learning Plan Details box may display other details, such as:
- The learning plan ID,
- The average completion time,
- The total amount of credits (CEUs) earned by completing the learning plan,
- If any course of the plan comes from external content providers,
- If you obtain a certificate upon completion of the plan. Once you have earned it, the Download certificate button will allow you to download it to your device.
Completing a learning plan
Courses in learning plans can be optional or mandatory.
To complete a learning plan, you must complete all its mandatory courses, or an administrator/instructor can manually mark the learning plan as completed, regardless of the courses you have finished.
Click Retake the learning plan from the learning plan page to view the training material of the courses composing the learning plan again.
When you retake a completed learning plan:
- You are not re-enrolled in sessions and events of ILT courses.
- The completion status remains Completed.
- If the courses include training materials with a score, your latest score is retained.
