Activating Docebo for Microsoft Teams
Docebo for Microsoft Teams is a paid product. To activate Docebo for Microsoft Teams, reach out to Docebo via the Help Center, or by contacting your Account Manager (if your plan includes this option).
Sharing a course
Docebo for Microsoft Teams allows users to search, share and consume courses in chats and channels with other users using the Docebo Learn platform's Global Search capabilities.
This feature is available by using the messaging extension which can be found in chats or teams channels.
Please Note: Courses that are for sale are unavailable in Docebo for Microsoft Teams, unless previously purchased in the Docebo Learn platform.
Activating course sharing
In order to be able to share and search for courses in Docebo for Microsoft Teams, the course sharing setting must be enabled. This is done by pressing the gears icon to access the Administrative menu. Next, locate Docebo for Microsoft Teams and click Manage. Locate the tenant you wish to enable course sharing for and press the ellipsis button, then press Edit.
In the following screen, locate the Search and Share section and make sure the checkbox labeled Enable Sharing is activated. Then press the Save button at the bottom of the screen to save your settings.
You can now share courses within Docebo for Microsoft Teams.
Sharing as a messaging extension in the chat tab
Below the input text field of the message in the Chat tab, the user can open a pop-up window to search content based on Docebo's Global Search capability for courses and training Materials. Once the content has been selected and launched, a dynamic card will be created in the conversation, leaving the user able to play the content in a custom tab of the conversation.
As a messaging extension in a channel and private conversation
Below the input text field of the message in the messaging area, by pressing the Docebo button, the user can open a pop-up window to search for content based on Docebo's Global Search capability. In order to be able to share in a chat, the Docebo bot needs to be added first, this is done by typing the @
symbol into the chat and selecting Get Bots from the resulting pop-up menu.
In the following screen, find and click on Docebo. In the resulting window, press the down arrow next to the open button, not the open button itself, and then press Add to a chat. In the following screen, select the chat you wish to include the bot in and press the Set up a bot button to activate the bot in the chat.
The results returned will have the same tab structure as the Docebo Learn platform for the courses and training materials. Once the content has been selected and launched, a dynamic card will be created in the conversation, leaving the user able to play the content in a custom tab of the conversation.
