Introduction
You can organize your Shapes into folders, called spaces, in order to group them according to your needs. For example, you may want to group all of the assets on the same topic or those related to a specific job task or for a team in your Organization.
This article is a guide on how to create and manage spaces in Shape.
Creating Spaces
All of the spaces available in your platform are listed in the Spaces tab of the left-side menu of the homepage.
To create a new space, click on the plus button next to the Spaces option in the left-side menu of the homepage, type a name, then press Create. The new space is immediately listed in the All Spaces section of the Spaces page.
Once you have created a space, you can add shapes to it. To do so, click on the ellipsis button on the Shape’s card in the homepage, then choose the Move to Space option and select the desired space. Please note that every Shape can only belong to one space. You cannot associate the same Shape to more than one space. At any time, you can move a Shape from one space to another with the Move to Space option of the ellipsis button.
In order to remove the Shape from the space, click on the ellipsis button on the Shape’s card, then choose the Remove Shape from Current Space option.
The space page structure and organization reflect those of Shape’s platform homepage, and the Shapes you move into the space are divided into two tabs. Just like in the homepage, the All Shapes tab collects the Shapes created by all the users, while in the Created by me tab lists only the Shapes you have created.
Managing Spaces
All of the spaces you have created are listed in the Spaces page. Click on the pen icon at the end of the space row to edit its name, and on the trash can icon to delete it.
When you delete a space, the Shapes in it will not be deleted, and they will still be shown in the Shapes homepage.
