Introduction
Depending on your platform settings, you may be asked to identify your skills on the basis of your job, and to carry out a self-evaluation on them. Take some time to select your skills and to self-evaluate them, so that your platform will then help you in filling your gaps and deepen your knowledge on the areas you are already familiar with.
Once your profile is associated with one or more skills, if your Administrator and manager have activated it, you will be able to access the Skills Dashboard from the corresponding entry of the user Main Menu. Contact your Administrator and manager for further details.
This dashboard is made up of several areas. Click on Customize Dashboard in the top right corner of the page to enable or disable the visibility of the widgets in the dashboard and to sort them. Please note that the Skills widget is mandatory and cannot be hidden.
Your Job
From this section, you can check your job and update it, if needed. To do so, click on Change Job and start typing your job description in the pop-up box that will open. Select one of the available options proposed by the autocomplete function and press Save to confirm your selection.
When you change your job description, the skills already associated with your profile will not be deleted, but we suggest that you select other relevant skills to foster your growth.
You can associate only one job with your profile.
Your Skills
This section lists the skills already assigned to you and allows you to update the level of your self-evaluation by selecting it from the drop-down at the end of the skills row. Click on the X button before the skills name to remove the skills from your profile. When you remove a skill, you also remove the content related to the skill from the My Skills channel and you will lose your progress on it. In addition, you will no longer receive updates on the content related to the deleted skill.
Click on Add Skills to add new skills to your profile, and complete the skills selection and self-evaluation process as described in the Identifying and Self-Evaluating Your Skills chapter of the My Skills article of the Knowledge Base.
This section also shows the list of the skills suggested by your manager and by the platform Artificial Intelligence. Click on the proposed skill name to add it to your profile. Remember to self-evaluate your skill level after adding it to your profile, so that the platform Artificial Intelligence, your colleagues, and your manager can better target the best content for you.
Click on the skill name to access a more detailed overview and check:
- your progress on the skill
- the latest updates on the skill (if any—e.g. new content, new manager evaluations)
- how much time you spent in courses associated with the skill in the last 12 months
- the courses, assets, and external training content associated with the skill you completed over the last year
- the latest and most-watched content associated with the skill.
