Introduction
You now create and manage AI roleplays in the AI roleplay section of the platform. This article explains what changes for roleplays that already exist in Creator lessons, and what stays the same. You do not need to take any action for existing roleplays to keep working.
For the new way to create roleplays, see Creating and managing AI roleplays.
Requirements and limitations
- Only Superadmins can use the AI roleplay section at release.
- You cannot create new AI roleplays inside Creator lessons once the standalone experience is active. When you add AI roleplay to a lesson, you choose from the roleplays that already exist.
- Roleplays in Creator lessons are edited with the new AI roleplay editor. Legacy sales roleplays are the exception: you can still edit them with the previous editor.
- Learners can start simulations only if simulations are available to them. This applies to roleplays in Creator lessons and to roleplays delivered through courses. Learn more in Managing simulation pools.
- SCORM export of a Creator lesson does not include AI roleplays.
What stays the same
- Roleplays already embedded in Creator lessons keep working as they do today, for Superadmins and learners.
- You can still import an existing roleplay into a Creator lesson.
- All roleplays created in Creator appear in the AI roleplay dashboard from launch.
What changes
Creating roleplays
New roleplays are created in the AI roleplay section. In a Creator lesson, a side panel lists the available roleplays, and you select one to add it to the lesson.
Editing a roleplay from a Creator lesson
In the Creator lesson, click Edit roleplay. The roleplay opens in the AI roleplay editor. Changes you make there apply to every Creator lesson and course that includes the roleplay.
After you save in the AI roleplay editor, the Creator lesson may not show the change until you refresh the page.
Legacy sales roleplays
Sales roleplays are not available in the new AI roleplay experience, and you can no longer create them. Existing sales roleplays keep working, and you can still edit them with the previous editor. Sales roleplays will be deprecated.
