Introduction
When your organization uses the 365Talents integration, 365Talents content appears in several places inside the Docebo platform. This article describes where learners and managers find it, what the integration does for them and how the embedded experience behaves.
You start in the Docebo platform and open the embedded 365Talents views without signing in again. What you can see and do inside those views depends on the 365Talents capabilities your organization has enabled and on your 365Talents rights. To learn how to use 365Talents features such as your skills profile, opportunities or career management, refer to the 365Talents knowledge base (opens in a new tab).
For what the integration does overall, read the introduction to the 365Talents integration.
For learners
Where to find 365Talents
Your platform administrator adds the 365Talents pages to your main menu and can rename them, so the names you see may differ from the ones used here.
| Default page name | What it opens |
|---|---|
| Skills and career | Your 365Talents welcome page, the starting point for your skills and career information |
| Opportunities and training | Training suggested to you on the basis of your skills, together with any other opportunity types your organization has enabled in 365Talents |
Your 365Talents profile also appears in your Docebo profile area. Select your avatar in the top right corner of any page, then select My profile. The list of sections on the left begins with the 365Talents sections, followed by your usual Docebo platform settings, which are unchanged.
Please note: Your Docebo profile and your 365Talents profile are two separate profiles shown side by side. They are not merged into a single record, and information you change in 365Talents, such as your personal or mobility information, is not written back to your Docebo user profile.
Opening recommended training
The training 365Talents recommends to you comes from the course catalogs your organization has chosen to share with 365Talents, and only from those you can access in the Docebo platform.
When you select Find a training on one of your skills in 365Talents, you see the courses related to that skill.
To open a course, select Consult it now. The Docebo course page replaces the 365Talents view in the same browser tab, and from there you can enroll in the course or continue it as you would any other course. You do not need to select I'm interested! before opening a course.
Please note: Recommendations are based on the catalogs you can access, not on each individual course. Occasionally you may be recommended a course you cannot enroll in. If you open it, the platform shows its standard access error. If you think you should have access to the course, contact your platform administrator.
Updating your skills after you complete a course
When you complete a course from a catalog shared with 365Talents, 365Talents invites you to update a related skill on your profile. Nothing changes on your profile until you act on the invitation: accept it to update the skill, or dismiss it to leave your profile as it is. Completing a course never updates a skill on its own.
Please note: If your organization imported historical course completions, some imported items may not have start and end dates. When you open one of these suggestions, you are asked to enter the missing dates before the item can be added to your profile.
Your certifications
Certifications awarded to you in the Docebo platform are sent to 365Talents automatically, whether or not they are linked to a course. They appear on your 365Talents profile as separate records in your professional training, not attached to a course. If you complete a course and are also awarded a certification for it, you see two separate records. Only unexpired certifications are sent. The certification end date appears on your 365Talents profile, but nothing happens automatically when a certification expires.
For managers
Where to find 365Talents
Your platform administrator adds the Workforce skills page to your menu, possibly under a different name. It opens the 365Talents welcome page for managers, which shows the 365Talents features available to you. Features you do not have rights to are disabled on that page.
What changes in My team
The integration adds two tabs to My team, where 365Talents shows your team's skills engagement and their job skills assessment. The tabs are labeled Engagement and Job skills' assessment.
On the Team members tab, each team member gains two actions that open their 365Talents information: Profile and Manage Career.
The native Skills overview tab is no longer available, because 365Talents replaces it. Your other My team views, such as courses, learning plans, checklists and reports, work as before.
Please note: Your team in 365Talents is built from the manager relationships recorded in 365Talents, not from the team you see in the Docebo platform. Both come from your organization's HR system and should match. If they do not, the team shown in the 365Talents views differs from the team on the Team members tab, and feedback and skill validation follow the 365Talents relationships. Reporting lines are corrected in your organization's HR system, so raise any difference with your HR or platform administrator.
For HR users and administrators
The Workforce skills page also opens the 365Talents welcome page for HR users and administrators, from which they reach the 365Talents features available to their rights, such as workforce skills analytics and the management of job descriptions and the skills framework. These areas are reached from the Docebo platform, not from a separate 365Talents address.
How the embedded experience behaves
Navigation
Moving between sections inside a 365Talents view happens inside that view, without the Docebo page reloading. Opening a recommended course takes you out of the embedded view to the Docebo course page, in the same browser tab.
When 365Talents opens a dialog, it opens inside the embedded area rather than over the whole Docebo page. The surrounding Docebo navigation stays visible, and a long dialog may require scrolling inside the embedded area to reach the bottom of it.
Please note: The embedded 365Talents content keeps the styling provided by 365Talents. Custom CSS and Branding Studio customizations applied to your platform do not apply inside the embedded area. They continue to work normally everywhere else in your platform.
Mobile app
The embedded 365Talents experience is not available in the Docebo mobile app. Use a browser to open the 365Talents pages.
If content does not load
If a 365Talents page cannot be displayed, a generic error page appears. It is the same page whether the cause is an unmatched user or a loading problem, so it does not say which. Try again after a short wait. If it remains unavailable, contact your platform administrator. They can check whether your account has been matched to 365Talents and whether you have the rights needed for that view.
Everything outside the embedded area keeps working, so you can continue to use the rest of the platform.
Tip for administrators: When a user reports that a 365Talents page is not available to them, first check the matched user count on the 365Talents integration configuration page to see whether matching is working overall, then the user's record and email address in your provisioning source and their 365Talents rights. A user who is not matched cannot fix this by trying again. A newly provisioned user may need a short time before matching completes.
