Completing a certification
In My courses and learning plans, find courses with the Certifications label
To find them quickly:
- Open the filters,
- Under Type: Select Certification
- Under Certification status: Select Valid, Expired, Expiring or In renewal.
You can also sort by Nearest expiration date or Farthest expiration date. Your certifications are also listed in the Certifications and courses tab of the My activities page, where you can tap My certifications to see the full list.
Tap a certification card to open it. The Overview tab shows the certification status (Valid, Expiring or Expired), the expiration date, when you can renew, and the certificate you earn, if available.
The Content tab lists the courses in the certification, with your progress and the number of mandatory and optional courses you completed. Tap Get certified to start, or Resume training to continue where you left off, and complete the courses as described in the articles Completing an e-learning course and Completing an ILT course. When you complete all required courses, you earn the certification.
You can renew a certification to keep it valid. If the certification is up for renewal, you will see the Renew now button instead of Get certified/Resume training. Tap Renew now and then tap Renew in the confirmation window to start your certification renewal.
When you renew your certification, your course completion status is reset and you can complete the courses again to receive a new certification with a new issue and expiration date.
If your administrator did not set an expiration date, you do not need to renew.
