Introduction
The Authoring agent turns source materials into interactive, publish-ready lessons directly within Creator. The agent is selected by default when opening the lateral chat panel in Creator.
Activation and configuration
Superadmins manage the Authoring agent centrally from Agent Hub:
- Enablement: Enable or disable the Authoring agent across the platform. Ensure at least one AI assistant capability is enabled in the Artificial intelligence control panel settings.
- Branding and metadata: Customize the icon, color, title, and description to match internal naming standards.
Capabilities
- Generate lessons from files (PPT, PDF, Docx) or leveraging AI internal knowledge
- Ask clarifying questions (like audience, tone, and depth) before generating
- Produce lessons enriched with flashcards, accordions, assessments, mixed activity types (multiple choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, matching), and images extracted from the attached source files
- Refine specific screens or restructure lessons after the initial draft
- Improve existing lessons: add AI generated images, adjust tone, formatting, engagement, or content across the lesson

- Fast-track regulatory and policy updates: Attach updated guidance documents to revise outdated screens and add targeted knowledge checks without rebuilding the course from scratch.
- Accelerate product enablement: Turn product briefs and battlecards into interactive training with built-in practice activities for fast turnaround before launch.
- Empower SME self-authoring: Enable subject-matter experts to convert SOPs into structured, interactive lessons in a single session without waiting on instructional design queues.
Best practices
- Ground drafts in live sources: Attach files to ensure the agent uses your organization’s exact terminology, processes, and policies.
- Use screen-aware editing: Keep the agent sidebar open while viewing specific screens in Creator to request targeted edits, tone adjustments, or structural changes.
- Conduct human review before publishing: Always review and test generated lessons and assessments, as the agent never auto-publishes content.
