Instructors and Superadmins can manage test scores to make scoring flexible and tailored to training needs. Through the Score Management function, you can configure the test’s scoring options, and set or change the score of each question.

Score Management
As the Superadmin, you can manage the score for each test. The Score Management page is divided into three areas: Minimum Score, Score Display, and Manage Score Per Question as detailed in the following table. Press Save Changes when you’re finished configuring the score settings.
Option Section | Option Name | Option Notes |
Minimum Score |
Minimum score required to pass the test |
Insert a number into the text box to set the minimum score a user must make in order to pass the test. The value of the minimum score is tied to the Score Display option. For example, if you set the minimum score as 50, it will be displayed as 50% if the score is expressed as a percentage, or as 50 if it is displayed as a value. |
Score Display You cannot configure this section if a user has already started the test.
|
Express score as numbers | Use this option to set the way scores are displayed to learners. |
Express score as percentage
Manage Score per Question These options differ if you’ve imported a question from the Question Bank into the test.
|
Current Maximum Score | This is not a field that is directly editable by you. It is automatically calculated based on how you configure the rest of the scoring options. |
New Maximum Score | This field is conditional to whether there are questions from the question bank imported into the test. This field will be recalculated based on the score set for any question from the question bank that is placed within the test (as this score for these types of questions is absolute) combined with individual scores set for local questions in the test. The max score must be greater than the sum total of points coming from Question Bank questions in this test.
Do Nothing | For this option, the score will not be distributed and divided among the questions. This option is not affected if there are any questions from the question bank imported into the test.
Score based on question's level of difficulty |
For this option, you need to type the total score of the exam in the corresponding text box. Then, in the Set Level of Difficulty column for each question, you need to set whether a question is very easy, easy, medium, hard, or very hard. From here, your platform will automatically delegate how many points are assigned to each question. This option will not be applied to any questions in the test that are imported from the question bank. Please Note: If you add a new question to the test after setting this option, it will not be taken into consideration in the score calculation until you save your settings to recalculate the score distribution among all the questions, including the last one. |
|
Same score for each question (total score divided by all of the questions composing the test) |
For this option, type the total score of the test in the corresponding text box. The score will then be distributed evenly among all of the questions composing the test. Please note that you cannot configure this option if the test contains any questions imported from the Question Bank. Note 1: If you add a new question to the test after setting this option, it will not be taken into consideration in the score calculation until you save your settings to recalculate the score distribution among all the questions, including the last one. Note 2: If the test total score is not divisible by the number of questions composing the test, then the score for each question will be rounded and the sum of the scores of all questions will not match the total score you have set. In such a scenario, we suggest using the Choose score for every question option. |
|
Choose score for every question |
For this option, you will type the score you want for each individual question in each question’s row. The difficulty that you set for each question will not influence the score if you select this option. When you’re finished and you have saved your changes, you will see the total score of the exam, as calculated by your platform, at the top of this option. This option will not be applied to any questions in the test that are imported from the question bank. Remember that the default score for a question added is "0" unless otherwise specified by an update on the Set Difficulty and Score for Each Question area of the Score Management page. |
|
Same point for each visible question (total score /number of questions in test) |
This option is only if you have selected the Random choice of questions from the number of questions available option in the Questions section of the Test Options area. For each answer that appears in the test, the score will be distributed evenly among each question. Please note that you cannot configure this option if the test contains any questions imported from the question bank. Please note that if you add a new question to the test after setting this option, it will not be taken into consideration in the score calculation until you save your settings to recalculate the score distribution among all the questions, including the last one. |
