Introduction
For those using Docebo's Discover, Coach & Share module, you can generate Discover, Coach & Share reports on various experts, assets, and channels in your platform. These reports allow you to have a better picture of the social learning trends occurring with your learners.
On the main reports page, there are three standard reports dedicated to Discover, Coach & Share: Expert Summary, Asset Summary, and Channel Summary. Additionally, you can create a custom report for user assets and find some Discover, Coach & Share data in user reports.
To access the main reports page, log into your platform as the Superadmin, then access the Admin Menu from the gear icon on the top right. Then, in the E-Learning section, press the New Reports item. Let’s take a look at each kind of report.
Expert Summary
If you want to generate statistics about the performance of a specific expert in the platform, find the Expert Summary section in the Quick Summary Reports & Dashboards tab on the New Reports page. Then, type in the name of the expert for which you’re wanting to generate the report, select the full name from the drop-down menu that will appear below the text box, then press the Generate button.
You will then be redirected to the expert’s report. At the top of the report, you will find data regarding when the user was appointed as an expert, the last access date, to which channels this user is assigned as an expert. The expert activity is divided into two tabs: Coaching Activity and Peer Review Activity. You can switch between the two tabs to view the different statistics.
In both tabs, you can use the Time Frame filter to choose whether you want to view weekly, monthly, or yearly stats. In the Coaching Activity tab, you can view an overview of statistics of the expert’s answers: number of answered questions, average answer time, number of likes and dislikes, and how many times the expert’s answers were marked as the best. You will also find graphs showing the expert’s activity per channel and the number of questions answered over time. Finally, you will see a ranking of the expert’s answers with regard to:
- Quality. Number of best answers, liked answers, or unsatisfactory answers provided
- First-to-Answer. How many times this user was the first expert to answer a question
- Participation. How many total answers this expert has provided.
In the Peer Review Activity tab, you will see the number of assets reviewed and published by the expert and graphs showing the expert’s activity per channel and the number of assets reviewed over time. Finally, you will see a ranking of the expert’s reviewed assets with regard to:
- Participation. How many total assets this expert has reviewed.
- First to Review. How many times this user was the first expert to review an asset.
Asset Summary
If you want to generate statistics about a specific asset uploaded in the platform, find the Asset Summary section in the Quick Summary Reports & Dashboards tab on the New Reports page. Then, type in the name of the asset for which you’re wanting to generate the report, select the full name from the drop-down menu that will appear below the text box, then press the Generate button. You will then be redirected to the asset’s report.
The asset statistics are divided into four tabs: Overview, Social, Ask the Expert, and Invitations. In all tabs, you can use the Time Frame filter to choose whether you want to view weekly, monthly, or yearly stats.
In the Overview tab, you can see the total number of views with a timeline as well as the average ranking of the asset. Please note that the number of views of an asset in the Asset Summary refers to the number of different users who viewed that asset, so if the same user viewed that asset twice, the number of views is incremented only by one unit, not two.
In the Social tab, you can see the total number of invitations sent with a corresponding timeline.
In the Ask the Expert tab, you will find the total numbers for questions, answers, best answers, answer likes, and answer dislikes with a graph representing the timing for questions and answers.
In the Invitations tab, you can see the total number of invitations sent, the global watch rate, the average reaction time (how long it takes a user to watch the asset from the time the invitation is sent), a comparison between invitations sent and number of views, as well as individual invitations sent with the details for each invitation.
Channel Summary
If you want to generate statistics about a channel, find the Channel Summary section in the Quick Summary Reports & Dashboards tab on the New Reports page. Then, type in the name of the channel for which you’re wanting to generate the report, select the full name from the drop-down menu that will appear below the text box, then press the Generate button. You will then be redirected to the channel’s report.
The channel statistics are divided into three tabs: Overview, Questions and Answers, and Experts. In all tabs, you can use the Time Frame filter to choose whether you want to view weekly, monthly, or yearly stats.
In the Overview tab, you will find numbers representing assets, contributors, askers, average asset ratings, shared assets versus total channels and unpublished assets, and shared assets against the number of total assets in all of the channels combined. You can also see graphs representing published assets and views on the channel.
Please note that the Channel assets published contributions graph displays assets according to their date of creation, and not to the date of publication in the channel. Also note that the number of views of an asset in the Channel Summary refers to the total number of views of that asset, so if a user viewed that asset twice, the number of views value is incremented by two units.
In the Questions and Answers tab, you will find numbers representing the total number of questions, answers, and best answers in the channel as well as a comparison of peer reviews and Q&A activities as compared to the rest of the channels in the platform.
In the Experts tab, you can find a list of Experts in the channel along with a ranking of the most active Experts for both the Discover, Coach & Share perspective (including their own statistics).
