Introduction
Docebo Companion is a Web Browser Extension (WBE) that brings relevant learning closer to where work happens. By integrating with the Docebo platform, Companion provides timely, contextual training based on the webpage you’re viewing - helping you access the right knowledge without switching tools. Alongside curated learning materials, learners can also use Harmony search to quickly find answers or discover additional resources directly from the browser. Once logged in, Companion automatically recognizes the page you’re on and surfaces the most relevant content, making continuous learning easier, faster and more natural throughout your day.
Docebo Companion is a two-part system, a set of curated pages configured as spaces and a web browser extension that is connected to your platform.
For organizations using Google Workspace, deploying Companion across Chrome browsers enables you to standardize and centralize this learning experience for your entire user base, ensuring consistent access to contextual training across all managed devices.
Google Workspace is Google's suite of cloud-based productivity tools (Gmail, Drive, Docs, and more) that many organizations use to manage their workforce. When you deploy software through Google Workspace, you're using the platform's centralized management capabilities to push applications and policies to all enrolled Chrome browsers at once, rather than requiring individual users to manually install and configure each extension. This deployment approach ensures that Companion is installed consistently, remains up-to-date, and can be configured with standardized settings across your organization.
In this guide, you will learn how to deploy the Docebo Companion extension to your Google Workspace-managed Chrome browsers, configure the extension settings for your organization, and enable your learners to access contextual training seamlessly from day one.
