Introduction

Training credits are a virtual currency that can be used in place of money to purchase courses, ILT sessions, and learning plans. Depending on how your platform is configured, they may be set up as the only purchase option for content, or you may have a choice between using training credits or money payments. 

Please note: The features described in this article will be available only if training credits have been enabled on your platform.

View your training credit balance 

Training credits can be provided to you by an administrator, and you may also have the option of purchasing them for yourself. 

You can check how many training credits you have available by clicking the coins icon in the header. This will show the current balance available to you.  

→ Click Access my wallet to go see the full details of all your training credit transactions. 

If some training credit packs are shown available for purchase, you can click Add to cart to buy them directly. Or click Go to training credit shop to see all the available packs.

Please note: Depending on configuration, purchase of training credit packs may not be available to you

Spend your training credits

You can use your training credits to quickly buy courses, ILT sessions, or learning plans.

• On any item that has training credits available as a purchase option, you can click Buy with training credits. 
• A dialog box will show you how many training credits you are about to spend. 
• When you click Confirm you will be directly enrolled, without going through the shopping cart.

If you do not have enough training credits in your wallet to purchase the item, you can purchase a training credit pack to top up your balance. Alternatively, if training credit packs are not available for purchase, you can acquire training credits by having them assigned to you by an administrator.

Purchase more training credits

→ The training credit shop is available if configured on your platform

Your platform may offer training credits available for purchase in “packs” containing preset amounts. These are made available in the Training credit shop page. 

To purchase a pack of training credits:

1. On the header bar, click the shop icon to open the Training credit shop page. This page will show you the different sizes of training credit packs available, and their prices. 
   • The training credit shop shows you the packs that are available in your default currency. 
   • If enabled, a drop-down list on the top right allows you to select a different currency for making your purchase. In that case, you will see only the packs that are available in the new currency you set.
2. Select the pack you want to buy and click Add to cart.
   → You can continue adding more packs in the same way. 
3. When you are ready to finalize your purchase, in the header click the shopping cart icon: 
   • The shopping cart page will show you the training credit packs that you added. If required you can set a different quantity, to buy multiple copies of a pack. 
4. Complete your transaction in the usual way: see  Managing your shopping cart. When the payment is complete your new training credits will become available in your wallet.

Check your training credit wallet

The Your training credit wallet page provides full details about your training credit balance and all your purchase or spending transactions. To access it:

• From the Training credit shop page, or from the coins widget in the header,  click Access my wallet. 

Wallet tab

The Wallet tab shows you your available balance of training credits.

If purchase of training credits is available to you, this tab also shows a list of recently purchased training credit packs. From here you can click Purchase a new pack to go to the Training credit shop and buy more credits.

Transactions tab

The Transactions tab shows you a list of all the transactions in which you have either acquired or spent training credits. You can acquire training credits by purchasing a training credit pack in the shop, but also by having credits assigned to you by an administrator.

The different types of transactions are grouped into the following categories:

• Training credit top-up - credits added to your wallet as a result of you purchasing training credit packs.
• Purchase - credits subtracted from your wallet when you used them to purchase a course, ILT session, or learning plan.
• Wallet adjustment - a change in your wallet balance done by an administrator, it can be: 
  • training credit assignment: initialization of your wallet balance, with a value directly written into it by the administrator.
