Introduction
Badge collections allow you to organize badges and control their availability for different audiences.
Each collection has its own availability settings. Users can earn badges from a collection only when that collection is available to them.
Use collections, for example, to make different sets of badges available to specific groups or branches.
Badge collections
To manage badge collections, go to Configuration > Gamification > Badges and open the Collections of badges tab.
The page lists all badge collections available in the platform. Use the search field to find a specific collection.
The Default collection contains the badges available by default in the platform. You can create additional collections and associate badges with them.
Using collections for different audiences
Use collection availability to provide different badges to different audiences.
For example, you can configure:
- a Default collection available to everyone, containing badges for company-wide training
- a Europe Branch collection available to the European branch, containing badges for regional training and contribution activities
- a USA Branch collection available to the US branch, containing badges for regional training
Users can earn only badges belonging to collections available to them.
Associating badges with collections
You can associate badges with one or more collections from the badge Availability tab.
You can also manage badge associations from the Badge management page using the ellipsis menu for an individual badge or Choose action for multiple badges.
Community badge collections
When you create a community in Community hub, the platform creates a corresponding built-in badge collection named Community Collection - [community name].
You cannot rename or delete this collection from the Gamification area.
If you rename the community from Community hub, the corresponding badge collection name is updated automatically.
