Introduction
When Docebo integrates with Salesforce, the integration custom settings are saved in the Salesforce package code, on Salesforce, so that can change them only through the Visualforce package page created on purpose. This article is a guide on how to change these custom settings.
Changing the platform URL and the Client secret
At any time, you can change the platform URL and the Client Secret stored in the ResetCustomSettings Visualforce page from Salesforce. Please note that if the integration custom settings are not carefully updated as described in this article, the Docebo for Salesforce integration may no longer properly work.
In order to access the Visualforce page and manage the custom settings, log in to your Salesforce Org with an admin account click on the Setup icon in the top right corner, and move to the Visualforce Pages section of the left-side menu. This section lists all of the Visualforce pages including those linked to the Docebo integration.
Click on the ResetCustomSettings label to see the page details. Click on the Preview button in the page top to enter the page preview, where you will be able to operate the following changes:
-
URL - this is the URL used in the canvas to show the Docebo platform. When editing this value, make sure it is a valid URL and that it is linked to the right Docebo platform. Enter the URL without the final “/”, in the following format:
https://myplatform.docebosaas.com
- Client secret - this Client secret is shared between Docebo and Salesforce. You can find the Docebo platform Client Secret in the Settings tab of the Salesforce section of the Admin Menu, Secret Key field. For the proper integration functioning, the Client Secret in the Visualforce ResetCustomSettings page must be the same as the one defined in the Docebo platform.
Click on Edit custom settings to confirm your changes.
