Introduction
Keeping the platform content updated is a daily activity for your platform administrator, and your help in identifying the outdated courses will be appreciated.
You can mark both formal learning content (courses) and informal content (assets) as outdated in the All channels and the My courses and learning plans pages. This will not hide or remove the content, but it will alert the platform administrator or the asset owner.
Note however that:
- You cannot mark your own assets (the items which you yourself have uploaded) as outdated.
- You cannot mark learning plans as outdated.
Disclaimer: The upload of informal assets is not available on platforms without Discover Coach & Share. On those platforms, channels can include only courses and learning plans.
Marking a course or asset as outdated
In order to mark an item as outdated on the All channels or on the My courses and learning plans page, click on the ellipsis menu on its card and select the Mark as outdated option.
A message at the bottom of the page will inform you that the content has been marked as outdated and that the content owner (if you have marked an asset as outdated) or that your platform administrators (if you have marked a course as outdated) will be notified.
Once you mark a piece of content as outdated, the operation cannot be undone. However, in the case of an asset marked as outdated, when the asset is edited by replacing its file/link, the Outdated mark will be removed.
Please note: You cannot mark the same content as outdated more than once. If you do so, a message at the bottom of the page will inform you that you have already marked that content as outdated. Also note that you can’t remove your mark, because when you select the Mark as outdated option, a notification is sent to the user who uploaded the asset, or to all of the administrators of your platform.
