The Learning Analytics platform turns learning data into key insights with easy-to-use reports.
In this article, we will see how you can take advantage of the Learning Analytics reports to monitor learning activities and improve learning efficiency.
Insights Page
When you sign into Learning Analytics, the Insights page gives you a summary of your key Learning KPIs.
If your Learning Analytics platform is integrated with Docebo Learn , dedicated widgets are available to compare the Docebo indexes with your Industry Benchmark. The Industry Benchmark is calculated by Docebo based on a large database of anonymized customers’ data. The data is grouped by industry to calculate a specific Industry Benchmark.
-User Engagement. User Engagement measures whether users find value in your learning programs. User engagement is the degree of attention and proactivity that learners demonstrate during both mandatory and voluntary L&D activities.
-Course Efficiency. Course efficiency measures the capability and the potential of the courses provided on the learning platform, looking at course statuses and their relationships with how those learners perform on the job
-Learning Quality. Learning Quality shows the knowledge gained including the ability to develop concepts and skills to drive success.
Other widgets displayed on this page include:
-Platform Sessions. This widget shows the total number of times users accessed the platform each month included in the selected time frame.
-Course Completion. This widget shows the percentage of learners that completed the course compared to the total amount of learners enrolled in the course.
-New Enrollment and Course Completion. This widget shows the number of new enrollments of learners into courses and the number of courses completed by learners for every month included in the selected time frame.
-Groups. This widget shows the number of users included in the largest groups of the platform.
You can apply filters with a specific Time Frame, Branches, Groups , Courses, Catalogs, Categories, Learning Plans or User Additional Fields to the results. When you select a filter, it will apply to all the widgets included in the page.
You can also add a widget to Favorites by pressing the heart icon in the top right corner of the widget and Download, Send or Share a widget by clicking on the ellipsis icon and selecting the corresponding option.

Reports Section
On the Reports section of the platform, you will find all the widgets displaying your learning KPIs giving you a full picture of your learning activity. They are divided into different categories
-Users. Widgets related to users’ profile, behavior and activity.
-Courses. Widgets showing the main characteristics and KPI of your courses.
-Learning. Widgets showing the main characteristics and KPI of learning content and objects.
You can apply filters with a specific Time Frame, Branches, Groups, Courses, Catalogs, Categories Learning Plans or User Additional Fields to the results. When you select a filter, it will apply to all the related widgets included in the page.
You can also add a widget to Favorites by pressing the heart icon in the top right corner of the widget and Download, Send or Share a widget by clicking on the ellipsis icon and selecting the corresponding option. Filter management and Widget options are detailed later in this article.

Managing Filters
To aaply filters, press the Manage Filters button in the top left corner of the page. From here, you can either apply a Branches, Groups , Courses, Catalogs, Categories, Learning Plans or User Additional Fields filter. You can also apply a specific Time Frame filter to the results by using the time frame selection on the top right corner.
-Time Frame. By default the data will be displayed for the last 12 months (if available). You can adjust that by selecting a different time frame for your analysis from the list. The selected time range will automatically apply to all the widgets of the page. Note: when you select last X months in the time frame filter, the time range that will apply will go from the same day in the corresponding month to today regardless of the number of days in the months. For example if you choose Last 2 Months as a time frame filter on April 5, the time range will go from February 5 to April 5. You can also choose a custom time range. To do so, choose Custom in the drop-down menu. Click first on the first day of your time range and then click on the last day of your time range. Press Apply to complete the process.
-Branches. Drill down to find a branch or type in the branch’s name in the textbox. Once you find the desired branch, click once on the checkbox next to the branch’s name to select the branch or click twice on the checkbox to select the branch and all of its sub-branches. Select all the branches you wish to include in your filter and then press Apply Filters to complete the process.
-Groups. Select groups by flagging the checkbox next to the group’s name. Search for a specific group by typing the group’s name in the text box. When you have selected all the desired groups, press Apply filters to complete the process.
-Courses. Select courses by flagging the checkbox next to the course’s title. Search for a specific course by typing the course title in the text box. When you have selected all the desired courses, press Apply filters to complete the process.
Catalogs. Select catalogs by flagging the checkbox next to the catalog’s name. Search for a specific catalog by typing its name in the text box. When you have selected all the desired catalogs, press Apply Filters to complete the process. When you select this filter, the relevant widgets will update with the data corresponding to the list of courses included in the selected catalogs.
Categories. Drill down to find a category or type in the category’s name in the textbox. Once you find the desired category, click once on the checkbox next to the category’s name to select the category or click twice on the checkbox to select the category and all of its sub-categories. Select all the categories you wish to include in your filter and then press Apply Filters to complete the process.When you select this filter, the relevant widgets will update with the data corresponding to the list of courses included in the selected categories.
-Learning Plans. Select learning plans by flagging the checkbox next to the learning plan's title. Search for a specific learning plan by typing the learning plan title in the text box. When you have selected all the desired learning plans, press Apply filters to complete the process.
User Additional Fields. To apply a User a User Additional Field filter, select Additional Fields (Users) from the Add Filters drop down menu and choose the Additional Field you want to apply. Then, from the panel that opens,select all the values for this chosen Additional Field that should be applied in the filter by flagging the checkboxes. Search for a specific value by typing its name in the text box. When you have selected all the desired values, press Apply filters to complete the process.
Note : in selecting User Additional Fields, you will find all the User Additional fields available in the Docebo LMS except Date, Iframe, Upload File.
Once you select Filters, they will apply to all the widgets included in the page.
