Introduction
AI authoring enables organizations to create and manage content more efficiently with the help of artificial intelligence. This article provides an overview of how to manage AI authoring seats. Superadmins can access this tool to allocate seats and oversee the use of AI authoring capabilities across the platform. For details on creating AI lessons, refer to the article Creating and managing AI lessons with the AI authoring tool.
Assigning and managing AI authoring seats
The AI authoring tool is available for Superadmins and Power Users to use upon the assignment of seats. This means that users with no seats assigned cannot view the New AI lesson entry in the Central repository and cannot edit AI lessons. As a Superadmin, you can view and manage the allocation of AI authoring seats.
To access the AI authoring seat management page, log into the platform as a Superadmin, then open the Admin menu. Find the AI authoring entry and click on Manage seats.
On this page, you can see a list of the users that you have assigned seats to, as well as the number of seats available. Click on Assign seats to assign a seat to a Superadmin or Power User.
Please note! Power Users must have the corresponding central repository permissions; otherwise, they cannot be selected for seat assignment.
In the slide-out panel, select one or more users to assign seats to. If needed, you can search for users through the search bar. When you are done, click on Assign. The assigned users will now appear in the table. The table displays the username of the assigned users, their email address, their status and level, and the date on which they were assigned a seat.
The Assign seats button will be disabled if you have already assigned all the available seats. In this case, you can get in touch with your account manager (if your plan includes this option) or contact us through the platform’s Help center to purchase additional seats. Alternatively, you can unassign some of the seats already assigned.
To unassign seats, click on the bin icon (Unassign) at the end of a user’s row or select multiple users by clicking on the checkboxes next to their usernames, then click on Remove at the bottom of the page.
